Reception at KTH Library, June 26

The conference registration on June 26 takes place at the KTH Library (KTHB) and will be followed by a reception which starts at 18:00.

Reception at Stockholm City Hall, June 27

The reception will take place by courtesy of the city of Stockholm and the County Council at Stockholm City Hall, the venue for the Nobel Prize dinner. A buffet dinner will be served followed by a guided tour of the building. Stockholm's City Hall was built 1911-1923 to the design of architect Ragnar Östberg. It is one of Sweden's foremost buildings in the National Romantic style. Behind the imposing facades, built with 8 million bricks are found offices, meeting rooms and banqueting halls. Inspired by the palaces of the Renaissance, Ragnar Östberg had the City Hall built around two squares or "piazzas", Borgargården and the Blue Hall. If you wish to attend the dinner, please do not forget to mark it on the on-line form when you register for the conference.

Pub evenings, June 28-29

There will be Pub evenings at the Restaurant "Syster O Bror" located at KTH after the afternoon sessions on June 28 and 29. Beer/drink coupons are included in the registration kit.

Vasa Museum, June 27

The Vasa Museum is Scandinavia's most visited museum, located in Stockholm, capital of Sweden. The Museum was inaugurated in 1990. In the large shiphall stands the warship Vasa - the only remaining, intact 17th century ship in the world. The lower rig has been rebuilt, complete with masts, stays and shrouds. Just like the Vasa would have looked like when set for winter in harbour. The wreck, salvaged in 1961, is now once again a complete ship. Surrounding the ship are several permanent exhibitions, cinemas, a shop and a restaurant.

Nobel Museum, June 28

The Nobel Museum illustrates a century of creativity. Follow the changes of the 20th century through the Nobel Prize and the Laureates. Explore the work and the ideas of more than 700 creative minds presented through short films, original artifacts and computers, in the exhibition "Cultures of Creativity." See the dynamite, the mould and the books that changed the world! Visit the Nobel Museum in the heart of Stockholm, the Old Town/Gamla Stan. The Nobel Museum also has an inspiring Book- and Giftshop well worth a visit.
