General information

Abstracts

The accepted abstracts will be published in the conference abstract book and handed out to all participants at the registration. No proceedings will be printed.

Badges

Each participant will receive a name badge upon registration. All participants are required to wear their badge during all the Congress activities and social events.

Banks and post offices

Banks are generally open Monday-Friday 9.30 to 15.00. Some banks in central Stockholm are open 9.00 to 17.30. Post offices are usually open Monday-Friday 9.30-18 and Saturdays 10-13.

Certificate of attendance

A certificate of attendance will be given to registered participants upon request. The certificate will be sent out after the Congress.

Climate and dress

The weather in Stockholm at this time of the year is usually warm with temperatures approximately 20+ degrees Celsius, showers may occur. Informal dress is recommended.

Coffee/tea

Coffees and teas will be served during morning and afternoon breaks.

Currency/credit cards

The official currency is Swedish Krona (SEK). USD 1 = SEK 7.38, EUR 1 = SEK 9.20 (August 2005). Major credit cards are accepted in hotels, restaurants and shops. It is advisable to carry an identity card or any form of photo identification.

Electricity

Electrical current in Sweden is 220 V/50 Hz. Round, European-style two-pin plugs are used. Appliances designed to operate on 110/120 Volts need a voltage converter and a plug adapter.

Language

The official language of the Congress is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.

Lunch

Lunch is included in the Congress registration fee and will be served Tuesday-Friday at the Restaurant "Syster O Bror" located 5 minutes walk from the Congress venue. All registered participants will receive lunch coupons within their registration kit.
