I:7 Modelling of transport processes in batteries and fuel cells

The aim of this project is to develop modelling tools for the simulation of transport phenomena in electrochemical systems, such as batteries and fuel cells. This will require the adaption and extension of COMSOL AB's commercially available finite-element code, FEMLAB, to fluid dynamics problems. The initial phase of the work will involve the implementation of a turbulence model into the software, with a later phase involving its application into diffusive, migrative and convective transport-reaction processes.
