III:5 Flow in stratified headboxes

In production of multiply paper, three plane jets meet close to the outlet of the head box. The fibre suspension of the middle jet is not the same as in the outer jets. Differences in density, viscosity and velocity possibly cause an instability and undesired mixing of the jets. This project study possible actions for avoiding mixing, possibly by changing the geometry of the headbox or properties of the suspension.
